- The controls’ inner workings are a concentration of technology and experience, starting with the "one lever-one action" function, which assigns each lever a single function, helping avoid shifting errors at tired or distracting moments
- The brake lever ergonomics maintain their double curve structure but have been slightly modified to include an outward curve at the lower extremity in order to follow modern handlebar design
- Multiple shifting option which allows up- or downshifting by up to 5 sprockets at a time thanks to the Ultra-Shift mechanism
- Advanced Reach Adjustment enables a low grip on the brake lever, helping those with smaller hands
- Adjustable Modulation System, or AMS, offer two positions (long and short) that allow the rider to set his or her preferred free stroke
